Tiger is the museum cat

  • A STREET STRAY

My ginger boy

Tiger is the museum cat. He is a beautiful ginger cat. He was a feral cat and had a very rough life living on the streets.

Luckily, there are two very kind women who have a cat charity and feed all feral cats. Their names are Andie and Mary. One day Tiger arrived at the museum, made friends with the dogs, and just moved in.

He is the friendliest cat in the whole world!

  • HIS NOTCHED EAR

Tiger's street cat ear

Tiger has the notch in his left ear because Andie and Mary trap the feral cats and take them to the vet to be neutered. This is not only so that they don’t have kittens but also so that they don’t mate with the African Wild Cats that live in the Kruger Park.

The vet notches their ears so that Andie and Mary can tell they have been neutered.

  • TIGER LOVES HIS JOB

Tiger works hard in the museum

Tiger really loves working in the museum. He likes to check that there are no rats hiding in the exhibits.

When I am working in there he loves to talk to me. He meows a lot and I can understand what he is saying. He also likes to groom himself in the museum and sleep in the drawer where I keep the supplies for the fossil rubbings!
