Museum Grand Opening

My museum had its official grand opening on Saturday 21 October 2023. I invited my best friend Sophia, and six other special guests, two of whom are teachers at my school. I cut a big red ribbon and we spend ages looking at the museum. Afterwards we had donuts and chocolate brownies. It was a great grand opening!!

Thanks Amone!

Amone was one of my first visitors to my museum. She gave me some beautiful things for my museum – a silver emu necklace made with polished abalone shell that lives in the museum, a beautiful piece of smoky quartz, a lovely piece of rose quartz and a beautiful green crystal.

She also gave me a donation for my museum. I used it to buy these three beautiful hand-carved mini soapstone containers to keep my very small crystals and gems safe.

A gem of a museum beautifully presented by its creator, Tessa Young. I look forward to visiting the museum when I’m next in Phalaborwa, and hopefully will be guided by its very clever owner.
